COSECAM conducted a "Girls Speak Out" wrokshop on 28th November 2007

COSECAM Joined the Rural Trade Fair in Kampong Cham Provincial Town

On 26th-27th January 2008, the Economic Development for Vulnerable Person (EDVP) Project of COSECAM and its beneficiaries, particularly those who are migration returnees joined the Rural Trade Fair in Kampong Cham Provincial Town.

The Trade Fair was organized by Cambodia Micro Small Medium Enterprise (MSME) Project of Development Alternative Inc. (DAI) in collaboration with Gate Way Company and was funded by United State Agency International Development (USAID).

The objective of the Trade Fair was to promote provincial trade and investment and thereby fasten provincial economic development.

The EDVP Project showcased the many successful businesses and their products such as palm sugar, ice-cream, soya meal and kachay fried cake to attendees of the Trade Fair. By showcasing success stories of the EDVP Project, COSECAM hoped to make a positive impact on illegal and unsafe migration by local people in the Kampong Cham area.

Many attendees were interested in learning about the EDVP Project and in the products of the EDVP Project's beneficiaries. Beneficiaries reported selling a large number of products during the Trade Fair..
