COSECAM Resumes Funding for Six Service Providers
COSECAM has signed agreements to resume funding for six of its service providers to continue the implementing their projects for combating human trafficking and sexual exploitation and supporting the victims and vulnerable people.
The signing was organized in the second week of February 2011 at COSECAM office in Phnom Penh.
COSECAM, under the CETHCam project which is funded by the European Commission through Netherlands-based ICCO, has sub-granted fifteen national and international NGOs and a project to provide services of combating human trafficking and sexual exploitation and assisting victims and vulnerable people, and creating a legal and sustainable environment for them.
The six service providers include Ockenden, Healthcare Center for Children (HCC), HAGAR, Economic Empowerment to Vulnerable and Trafficked Persons (EEVP) Project of COSECAM Coalition, KNK Network Cambodia and Komar Ney Kdey Sangkheum (KNKS).
The three-month extension of each project has been agreed upon after new funding from the EC was confirmed.
COSECAM has sub-granted to the sixteen service providers for two years in row and is expected to review the third year's funding for the existing service providers in coming months.
