Delegation of the European Union to Cambodia has shown interest in the progress and activities of project implementation by COSECAM's service providers during their mid-February's visit at the northwestern and northern provinces of the kingdom, said COSECAM Coalition Director, Mr. Tuon Vicheth.

The visit by the delegation was aimed at monitoring and evaluating the progress and achievements of project activities implemented by those service providers and partner which are funded by European Union through ICCO under the CETHCam project of COSECAM.

The delegation led by Mr. Kiet Leng Huor, Program Officer of EU and accompanied by COSECAM Coalition Director, Mr. Tuon Vicheth, and CETHCam Field Coordination Unit visited Komar Rik Reay Organization, Meato Phum Komar, and KnK Network Cambodia in Battambang province, Damnok Toek Poipet and Poipet Transit Center in Poipet city, and OCKENDEN Cambodia in Oddar Meanchey province.

Mr. Tuon Vicheth said the delegation has hailed remarkable progress of and achievements from project implementation by the service providers, mainly OCKENDEN Cambodia, which has provided vocational trainings on fish raising, animal raising, growing crops, handicraft, mechanical repairing and other life skills for trafficked victims, vulnerable people and migrants.

The projects have well responded to the needs of those people who live along Cambodian-Thai border and help reduce the poverty in Cambodia.
